Warning:
Tainted Dog Food Supplies Pose Major Risks.
Commercially Available Dog Foods May Encourage Early Pet
Death.
AVOID
STORE-PURCHASED DOG FOODS
Continued Use Of Store-Purchased
Dog Food Could Be Deadly.
Canine
Health Bulletin (CHB),
August 20, 2008- CHB strongly recommends dog
owners to avoid
commercially available dog foods in favor of homemade alternatives.
This
recommendation applies to
all store-purchased dog foods, including those labeled "all natural" or
utilizing similar marketing ploys.
Standards for dog
food
production are inadequate. Dog foods of all varieties,
including
expensive "name brand" products may contain some or all of the
following due to inadequate production standards and disregard
for pet
health:
- Rendered carcasses
of ill and diseased animals.
- Chemicals and drugs
used to euthanize sick animals which may remain in
dog foods after processing.
- Disturbing quantities of animal
feces and waste products.
- Plastics and
other inorganic substances.
- Dangerous chemicals,
additives and preservatives.
These problems
appear to be
endemic to virtually all available dog foods.
Even those labeled
"chemical free" or "all natural" may contain these substances due to
the way these "terms of art" are interpreted.
These serious dog
food inadequacies are said to reduce pet lifespan--i.e. currently
available foods may be deadly
for your dog.
ALL DOG OWNERS
SHOULD
IMMEDIATELY CEASE USE OF COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE DOG FOOD AND INVESTIGATE
ALTERNATIVES--INCLUDING THE USE OF HOMEMADE DOG FOOD.
Pet
health, lifespan and overall well-being are at risk.
